These social media channels strive to abide by the FTC Guidelines for online influencers and bloggers. The owner believes in honesty of relationship, opinion, and identity. The compensation the owner receives from marketers may influence content, topics, or posts made to her blog. That content, advertising space, or post will be clearly identified as paid or sponsored content in accordance with the FTC Guidelines.

The owner of these social channels is not compensated to provide her opinion on products, services, websites, and various other topics. Even though the owner of these channels receives compensation for advertisements, she always gives her honest opinions, findings, beliefs, or experiences on those topics or products. The views and opinions expressed through these channels are purely the owner's own. Any product claim, statistic, quote, or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider, or party in question.

As an affiliate of several retailers, I earn a small amount from items purchased when you click on a book cover or button from any of my blog posts. I may also earn from ads or banners posted on my homepage. Any purchases made do not cost you any extra, but give me a small amount of compensation for recommending products to you. These products will be books or movies reviewed or recommended within my blog posts. All posts containing such links will be designated with the phrase "As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases" and/or "post contains affiliate links." I formerly received small commissions from:

  • Amazon (deactivated January 2021)

  • Better World Books (deactivated February 2021)

  • Books-a-Million (deactivated February 2021)

Because I am a librarian, it is fairly easy for me to obtain review copies of books in various formats. Many of the books reviewed in this blog were received by me from the publishers through Netgalley or Edelweiss+ in exchange for reviews. I also receive free librarian review copies periodically from Libro.fm or the Volumes app from Penguin Random House Audio. Every post where I receive a free book will contain where the book comes from first before any review or other material. To see how to get free books for your own reading, check out my resource list.

Why all the legal-ese? Because the FTC requires that all free products or services given in exchange for a review must be disclosed.
