I typically will choose the titles I want to review from sources including but not limited to Netgalley, Edelweiss+, Libro.fm’s librarian review audiobooks, or Penguin Random House’s librarian review audiobooks. If your book is not available from any of these sources and you would like to request a review, you may do so by using the information below.

My reviews will always be my honest opinion, as I want my readers to trust what I am saying is what I believe. I will not use any required phrases or ratings in my reviews. I do not give “star” reviews on my blog but may do so on Goodreads, Instagram, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or other sites that ask for star ratings. My opinions are my own and are not intended to drive or deter sales.

Advance Reader Copies (ARCs) will be disclosed on my blog and social media regardless of whether a review is required.

I have a quicker turnaround time for audiobooks than print or ebooks.

I have the right to deny any request for review at my discretion. I also reserve the right to not finish a book if it is not to my liking. Unfinished books will not be reviewed.

Formats accepted

 

1. Print books are accepted with a digital copy. I prefer to read on my Kindle, but print books make for better photos.

2. Kindle format ebooks

3. Digital audiobooks

 

Genres I will accept

 

• Historical fiction

• Contemporary women’s fiction

• Romance, especially if embedded within historical fiction or women’s fiction (I do not read bodice rippers)

• YA fantasy

 

Other genres may be considered, but are less likely to be accepted. I do not read horror and will not review non-fiction titles on this blog.

• Instagram (photo related to book and link in bio. Review itself will not be posted in the photo description.)

• Pinterest (both a book cover and review post will be made)

• Facebook

• Goodreads

• Sometimes I will also post reviews on Barnes & Noble or Amazon, but this is not guaranteed as they go through a review process and can be denied.

If the author or publisher shares a review or social media post, please link it back to Novel Maven in whichever social channel you are using.

How to Get in Touch

Email courtneyknowsbooks@gmail.com with your information, the book title and description, and publication date. If there is a date you would like a post to be published by (e.g., publication date, cover reveal, etc.) please include that in the email. I will work with you to make sure this is done to the best of my ability or will let you know if my schedule will not accommodate the deadline.
